Unlimited class trucks - Successfully complete the first twenty seven
tracks in single race mode.
Monster truck - Successfully complete all thirty six tracks in single race
mode under the hard difficulty setting to unlock a monster truck.
Pro class trucks - Successfully complete the first nine tracks in single
race mode.
Humvee - Finish in first place in the first three seasons of career mode
in all divisions.
Shelby Dodge Durango - Finish in first place in season four of career mode
in the speed division.
Dodge T-Rex - Finish in first place in season four of career mode in the
power division.
Rod Hall Hummer - Finish in first place in all divisions in career mode.
Controlled landing - Hold R1 after a jump, then use the Left Analog-stick
to steer your descent.
Helicopters and hang gliders:
Helicopters and hang gliders will fly right through you and cannot be
destroyed. If you hit one while in the air, you will go through it.
Moab: Knock down rocks:
When first starting out, go straight until the first larger hill. Go to
the left and look for a rock structure that comes to a point and a big
ball of rock at the top. Drive up the low angled side and go directly into
the rock. It should fall down into the crack to the left side. This cannot
be done in multi-player mode.
Moab: Drive on arches:
Drive around until you see a large arch and try to drive up it. You need a
power vehicle, such as the Moon Buggy, the Hummers, or the Monster Truck
to do this.
Recommended trucks:
The Moon Buggy is not the all around best car. The control is not too good
for its speed. The Rod Hall Hummer is better if you can control it. It
goes a lot faster, but the Moon Buggy is better for doing tricks and
things off ramps using the Right Analog-stick. You can do flips and barrel
rolls off almost any jump. Use the Moon Buggy if you want to show off in
free roam, but use the Rod Hall Hummer if you want to leave them in the
dust in a race.
Trains:
Run into a car or truck and push it on the train tracks. Wait for a train
to appear and it will go through the vehicle without harming it.
Bonus cars: Select the San Francisco Drag Race and
use the Dodge Concept Viper to set a new time record. Then, enter SOUNDMAX
as a name at the high score screen. The Jaguar XK-R "SoundMAX SPX", Jaguar
XK-R "Analog Devices", and the Aston Martin DB7 "SoundMAX SPX" will be
unlocked.
G4 TV car: Select the San Francisco Drag Race and set a new time
record. Then, enter KQXYKGVY as a name at the high score screen. The G4 TV
Viper will now be unlocked.
Ending bonuses: Win all races in story mode to unlock the San
Francisco tracks in single race and cop chase modes, as well as the
Chevrolet Corvette L-88, Jaguar XK-R, Lotus Espirit V8, and Lotus Elise.
Win all races in story mode for London to unlock the London tracks in
single race and cop chase modes, as well as the Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454
and Skeeter's Pontiac GTO. Also, the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Police Car,
Lotus Espirit V8 Police Car, and Jaguar XK-R Police Car can be selected on
the London tracks in cop chase mode.
Win all races story mode for Monte Carlo to unlock the Monte Carlo tracks
in single race and cop chase modes, as well as the Aston Martin DB7
Vantage, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, TVR Cebera Speed 12, and Ford SVT Mustang
Cobra R. Also, the Jaguar XJ220 Police Car, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Police
Car, and TVR Cebera Speed 12 Police Car can be selected on the Monte Carlo
tracks in cop chase mode.
Win all races story mode for Tokyo to unlock the Tokyo tracks in single
race and cop chase modes, as well as the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, Dodge
Charger, Subaru Impreza 22B, and Shelby Series 1. Also, the Nissan Skyline
GT-R V-Spec Police Car, Subaru Impreza 22B Police Car, and Toyota Supra
Police Car can be selected on the Tokyo tracks in cop chase mode.
Dodge Viper GTS: Win the track 27 race in story mode.
Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept: Defeat Clark in all races. Alternately,
win the track 45 race in story mode.
Ford GT: Defeat Vasily in all races.
Ford Mustang: Win the track 7 race in story mode.
Jaguar XJ220: Win the track 33 race in story mode.
Reese's Chevrolet Camaro: Win the track 9 race in story mode.
Shelby Cobra 427 SC: Win the track 5 race in story mode.
Skeeter's Chevrolet Chevelle: Win the track 26 race in story mode.
Pong mini-game: Use the D-pad to play the Pong mini-game while the
game is loading. Also, if you allow the controllers to idle, the CPU will
play the game for you.
Note: During the Pong mini-game, if you play two player Pong, you can play
forever.
Retry in Pong mini-game: If you play the Pong loading game long
enough are losing, just let the CPU player win until the score gets to
about 10, then both your scores will be reset to zero, allowing you to
start winning again.
Avoid getting busted: To avoid getting busted by the police, when
"Busted" appears, press R until the busted sign disappears.
Smoke Show: Take any powerful car with a manual transmission and
drive in reverse until you are near the red zone. Then, drive forward. It
is supposed to go burning. Just use the handbrake and it will not stop
screaming. For the smoke show itself, brake after the hand brake. Hold
both buttons until you stop and your car will not stop spinning.
Character motions: If you look closely, your character Dennis Black,
may do some strange things while driving. At the beginning of a race and
after the light turns green, Dennis may give you the "thumbs up". Also, in
midair after going of a jump, he may release the steering wheel or flail
his arms around. This also happens if you are in a particularly hard
impact.
Custom colors: Try using the following custom color combinations.
Blue/Orange: Body R0/G8/B8 Tint R10/G5/B0
Purple Pearl (Original TVR Speed 12 color): Body R10/G10/B10 Tint R4/G4/B8
Dark Blue/Orange: Body R0/G0/B8 Tint R10/G4/B0
