Note:- This game is also known as - Conflict Desert Storm 2: Back
to Baghdad
Cheat mode: Press L (2), R (2), X (2), Y (2), B (2) at the main
menu. There is no confirmation message. Start a game then pause and enter
the options screen. The "Cheats" option will be unlocked at the options
menu.
Extreme mode: Successfully complete the game under the hard
difficulty setting to unlock the extreme difficulty setting.
Go around corner with low profile: If you are in an urban area and
want to go around a corner while keeping a low profile, roll around the
corner by going prone and strafing.
Healing falling teammates: If one of your teammates falls to the
ground, throw a smoke grenade near him. Then, get your health packet out
and heal him.
Destroying armored vehicle or tanks: Use Jones to run up to the
vehicle or tank. Lay an anti-tank mine next to it, in turn sacrificing
jones Temporarily to take out the vehicle or tank.
Use Jones to run close to the tank, then plant a C4. Throw a smoke grenade
on the tank, run for the nearest cover, then blow it up.
Have one of your team members run by the tank to distract it. Then, run up
to the tank, plant C4, and blow it up (risking your life). You can heal
him with the other team member.
Tanks are weak in the following locations: their rear; in front, in
between the armor over the tracks; and where the gun barrel meets the
turret.
Throw a smoke grenade in front of a tank. Then, lay mine or C4 in front of
it or simply shoot it with an anti-tank rocket in the front.
Use Jones and give your detonator to someone else. Leave your team
somewhere safe from the tank. If it is at far range, throw a smoke grenade
out so that you can run out and not be seen. Then, throw another smoke
grenade in its direction and run to it. In all this confusion you will
reach the tank. Take out your machine gun and put him on weapons ready
mode. Before the smoke clears quickly have Bradly also come up behind the
tank. If you are on cooperative mode, you can go at the same time. Put him
on weapons ready mode. He will cover you as you set the C4. Have the
person back at the safe location equip the detonator. Throw a smoke
grenade and run far enough away so that neither of you will be hit by the
explosion, then detonate the C4.
Avoiding damage when in a building: When in urban areas, about half
of the damage comes when you are in a building. Have all the teammates
(except Foley; if there is a second floor put him at a window) cover a
door or entryway.
Avoiding damage from fire: Whenever you are on fire from a grenade
or rocket, drop to the ground and roll. Once you do this, the fire will be
extinguished and will stop hurting you.
Clear room without a door: To clear a room without a door, first
throw a phosphorous grenade in. Then, have Jones follow you and have Foley
and Connors cover the entrance. Then, tell Jones to rush the opposite side
of the room. Also move in at the same time and rush a corner, gunning down
any resistance. If there is a door, then position someone with an
automatic weapon facing the door (preferably Connors), then open the door
and back off while Connors polishes off any resistance. Then, rush the
room and tell Connors to follow you and shoot anything that moves.
Scouting: When you are moving ahead to scout a location, always
leave your squad in a good position that they can cover you from, and in a
pinch lay down some serious suppressive fire. Even if they do not hit the
enemy, it will make them hit the dirt.
Air Cover mission: SAM destruction: SAMs can be destroyed by
shooting them with any gun enough times. Save the C4 for the bigger tanks.
When you have cleared all resistance near the plane and are in a big hall,
go up the stairs and you can find some windows. You can see SAMs through
the window. It is easy to destroy them from here with grenades or any
other desired weapon. Note: After destroying the SAMs from the window and
you are about to go forward in the map, place claymore mines in the
corridors. If you place all your claymores there (do not set them too
close to each other), you will not have a problem with the enemy soldiers
who are coming from the back.
Air Cover: Two tanks at last SAM: At the last SAM, there is a tank
behind a building. This is after the conveyer belts. Have Bradley pick up
an Iraqi gun earlier in the mission. When you reach the tank behind the
building, give this weapon to Foley so that he and Connors can cover the
door where the conveyer belts are located. Once that is done, tell Jones
to follow you to the entrance leading outside but do not go outside yet.
Use Bradley's Grenade Gun by going to your inventory and pressing R (2) on
the Colt Machine gun. Shoot the grenade near the building with the steel
structure. The tank will then come out, but hide behind the steel
structure. Switch to your regular gun and start shooting the Iraqis that
come out of the building. After that, throw a smoke grenade so that you
can get to the barrier without the tank shooting you. Switch back to the
Grenade Launcher on your Colt machine gun and shoot the SAM hidden behind
the truck to your right. You will have completed that objective. Then, go
to your left slightly to where you will see a shadowy passageway. Shoot
your Grenade Launcher over to that area. Instantly, another tank will
appear. Switch back to the Colt machine gun's burst fire. You should have
picked up RPGs near the beginning of the mission. Throw a smoke grenade or
two and fire your RPG at the second tank. If you aimed correctly, you
should have killed it. Do the same thing to the first tank. Then, go into
the building.
Besieged mission: In order to complete this mission, you must have
snipers on top of the building in order to win that battle. Place a tank
mine by a dirt hill-looking place then put down three claymores by the
second hill. Even though the claymores will not destroy the tank, they
will let you know you that the tank is approaching and will slow it down
slightly. When you finish that, have everyone run to the gate where the
Delta team will C4 the door. Run in quickly and have everyone inside --
there is a heavy duty tank coming; so run.
As soon as the door opens in the base, send Jones out the door. Go left to
the big hole in the wall and place an anti-tank mine in the middle. Once
this is done, retreat back to the base. When the tank arrives, it will be
destroyed.
Besieged mission: Increasing stats: Enable the "Cheat mode" code and
turn on the "Infinite ammo" cheat. Proceed through the level as usual, and
pick any snipers you find (there is only one plus Foley's). When you get
to the part where you must evacuate to the door and they blow it open for
you, have everyone go to the cars except one. Have that person go just
inside to door to the right. Then, defeat all the ground forces and the
one remaining tank. If you do not have any rockets remaining, take Jones
there with a tank mine and set it directly next to the tank and run. If
you run quick enough, you may make it out alive. If not, use Conners to
heal him. Clean up the ground forces any way desired. After all the ground
forces are gone, take Foley and another character that you wish to
increase skills with, and go up to the top of the structure in the middle.
Take your sniper rifle out and look around. You should find enemy soldiers
on top of these roofs. They have an infinite number and are a good source
of free kills. Station one on the left and one on the right, and put them
on weapons ready mode. Then, change to another character and they will
start saying things like "Target down", or "Changing clips", indicating
that your men are sniping the enemy snipers. Every once in awhile, there
will be someone that they cannot hit. They will stop talking at this
point. Switch to one of them, find the enemy sniper, and snipe him. This
is is a very good way to bring up Foley's and other character's stats.
Chemical Warfare mission: Use tank: Shortly after you go
underground, there will be an intermission sequence showing a tank
commander leave his tank. After this, kill the commander. When you get to
the tank, do not blow it up. You can actually get into it.
POWs In Baghdad mission: Powerful weapon: From where you start, turn
left and pick up the guns on the table. Then, turn around and wait for the
door to open. Take out the guard and go through the door. Turn left and
take out another guard. Continue down the hall, turn left, and take out
another guard. Go to the door where the guard came out of and prepare for
another guard. After the guard is down, run to the desk to pick up an 870
combat shotgun with seven rounds. You may lose some health and ammunition,
but the reward is a powerful weapon.
POWs Of Baghdad mission: Sneak past T-72 tank: When you leave the
sewers, you will find a small alley. First, kill all enemy soldiers and
the machine gunner on the small building facing the alley exit. Then, have
all troops hold positions and switch to Connors. Exit the alley, turn
right, and run to the fence. Turn left and you should see a very shallow
trench deep enough for the tank not to see you, if you go prone. Start
crawling and you should hear the tank break through the wall. Stay low and
keep moving. When you get close enough to the small alley between the
alley and the building, quickly get up and run. You will be close enough
to the building that the tank will not be able to shoot you in time. Note:
If you think you will not make it, use a smoke grenade or two to conceal
your movement while crawling in the trench.
POWs In Baghdad mission: Destroying tanks: When you first encounter
the tank, the easiest way to destroy it is as follows. First, eliminate
all foot soldiers. Then, throw two or three smoke grenades at the machine
gun bunker. Move directly to the house with the machine gun bunker, taking
out the gunner as you run. Make sure the squad holds in a safe location
away from the tank. Drop to a prone position and crawl through the house
to the other door. Run along the wall until you reach an opening on the
left. You should see the back of the tank. If needed, throw another smoke
grenade at the tank and move to the rear. Drop on a knee and shoot the
exact rear of the tank. It should be destroyed On the second tank, give
all the remaining smoke grenades to one person and move them to the top of
the stairs. Throw them at the tank. Order the squad to fall in and run to
the GAZ jeep.
POWs In Baghdad mission: Easy completion: When you start, go to the
left. You will see a desk. Go over to it and pick up the weapons. Then, go
outside. The alarm will go off. Try to shoot everybody in the area. Go
into buildings, because some of them have weapons, ammunition, and health
packs. When you find one of your teammates, open the cell (you do not need
a key). Give him one of your weapons and a health pack. Try to find the
location that is all red. When you get out, follow the path to reach an
area with a lot of enemies. Ignore them and let your men kill them. Get
your man with the bazooka out. Run to the left to find a tank. Use the
bazooka on it. You will then be in a building. Go through it and you will
get outside.
Victor Two level: First tank: When you reach the third area where
you see the first heavy tank, do not make any sounds. The tank crew is
standing behind the tank. Have Conners and Foley kill them before they
know that you are there, and before they can get in the tank.
BMP types: There are two types of BMP tanks that you will encounter.
The BMP-1 has a very short turret and it shoots explosive shells. The
BMP-2 has a taller turret with a longer barrel and shoots anti-infantry
non explosive shells that are very deadly. This is the version you can
drive in the Chemical Warfare mission.
CPU control: Switch to a different soldier and remain idle (do not
move, switch a weapon, or fire). The CPU will still be in control of that
person. Note: The CPU will not move unless you switch during one of the
commands. The CPU only fires at enemies. |
