Hints

When using the handbrake, always use the footbrake with it, the handbrake on it's own is not usually enough to get you 'round hairpins.

Set the brakes (car setup screen) to 'loose -3' or therabouts, especially if using a digital controller. I find that the brakes are a bit too responsive otherwise.

The steering should be set up very responsive. It feels weird at first, but once you get used to it, lets you get around tight corners, and into slides much faster.

Tight bends can usually be negotiated without touching the brakes at all! Just letting off the throttle before the bend slows you down enough to get 'round. The throttle can be kicked on again as you exit the bend. This saves time over using the brake.

On tight courses such as 'isle 3' I find it helps to set the rear suspension about 2 or 3 clicks softer than the front, this helps whip the back end around all the twisties.
