Rushing the hill: When you are rushing the hill under the easy
difficulty setting, just rush up the right side. If you try to kill
everyone first it will not work -- they just keep appearing.
Note: The VC appear on both sides after eliminating the first two turret
bunkers -- rushing up the right side does not work under the normal or
hard difficulty settings. Instead, stay prone and crawl up the middle. The
turrets cannot see you, and neither can the VC because they are being
suppressed by the rest of your platoon.
General strategies: Treat every level like a real combat situation.
Continually advance, but always get cover as soon as possible. Take as
much time as needed, within reason. Never enter a building without
throwing in a grenade first, or if there is windows, aim your sight at
them from a safe distance while keeping cover. Your sight will show you
where they are. Remember, if you do not advance quick enough VC and NVA
will keep appearing in surrounding areas, including behind you in some
levels. Discarding your M16 is always a must. Try using an AK47, as there
is more than enough of them laying around. If done correctly, you will
never be short on ammunition. Take the tunnels slow; sometimes you will
get face to face with the enemy crawling the other way.

Another easy way to climb is to first shoot as many of the little bunkers
and people as you can on the hill from the left side in prone position
until you reach the first bamboo patch. Then, run up in standing position
and drop the grenade. It is easier to beat the hill with two players.
After the hill and while you walk through the rice patties and village,
watch out for enemy snipers. They are on you all the time.
Temporary God Mode - On version 1.2? God Mode on Trainer not

Change the view of files by clicking (up the top) on VIEW and DETAILS,
then click (above file dates) on DATE MODIFIED. This should sort them in
date order. Your new current level will either be at the top or bottom.
Right click on this file select OPEN. Choose NOTEPAD to view this file.
Use the FIND feature to locate the following

If so don’t worry, just add the Health=100000 ABOVE the “Location=” line.
Save and exit.
Run your Trainer to get Unlimited Ammo and then run the game. When you get
hit you will notice that your health will go down but will not bleed, and
possibly the top of a new health bar (just below your current one). THIS
IS NOT A TRUE GOD MODE. You can still die if you don’t bandage yourself.
It just takes A LOT longer to die.
Just keep holding down the Bandage button. If you have been hit several
times, it may take a long time to completely bandage yourself.
Your new health will carry over into the next section in that level. E.g.
Khe Sahn – Contact, Khe Sahn – Night Fight etc. |
