Extend your Influence:
At the start of the third mission (the one where your
creature gets tortured) right near your base is a guy
beside a lake he's sitting in front of a fire and says
"please dont hurt me" pick him up and move him
very quickly a short distance, drop him and pick him
back up. By repeating this technique you can move him
anywhere in the map and pick up anything within a short
distance from him. Best of all you can move him into the
enemy god's base and steal all his supply's or if your
really tricky you can take over the enemy gods
village without ever expanding your own.
Almost infinite food and wood:
Activate a Food or Wood Miracle. Then, hold the Hand
over the door of the village store or workshop
and quickly and repeatedly press the Right Mouse Button.
If done correctly, a large amount of food or wood will
be created for very little mana.
Secret: Bowling of the Gods:
If you activate "God's Playground" then zoom out as far
as you can go, you should see another smaller
island surrounded by flying seagulls. If you circle
around the island you should be able to see a bowling
kit ready for uses.
Hints:
2 Birds With 1 Fence?:
To help out the Village Store and get belief at the same
time, simply throw a fence, tree, or any form of
food over your villager's heads into the Village Store.
You will receive belief for the impressive flying item
and when it lands in the store the villagers receive the
supplies they need from it. Note: Make it bounce
and knock a couple villagers around with the thrown item
before it finally land in the Village store to gain
evil points as well as the above benefits.
Vertigo For the Evil:
Start the tutorial and wait for your conscience to stop
talking. Continuously move the cursor in circles
and your evil conscience's head will eventually star
spinning.
Put Em To Work:
Leash your creature to one of the desire flags that your
villagers raise (at the village store or worship site)
and your creature will take care of the villager's needs
the best way he knows how.
One Shot Miracle 101:
If you want to teach your creature one of the one cast
spells, instead of getting it, casting it, and
waiting for it to respawn, there is an easier way. Pick
it up by holding the action button down. Then with the
rope leash on the creature, move the mouse up to him
untill it turns palm up. Then hit the same button you
would use to feed him. He should pick it up and get the
experience points that he would have normally received
if you would have cast it. This is an effective way to
teach your creature the more destructive spells,
like lightning, without killing anyone.
"Ya Didn't Kill Me":
On island 3 there's a guy that you can't kill no matter
what you do. You can use him to go anywhere on
the island, including other villages, by simply picking
him up, moving a short distance beyond your
normal borders, (drop him before you go too far and lose
your ability to interact with objects beyond your
borders), then pick him up and move him forward again,
about the same distance you did before, kind of a
"leapfrog" effect. You'll be able to go all the way into
any village, cast spells, steal villagers and wood,
food, name it. You have to keep catching him and moving
him back because when you put him on the ground he'll
start running back for his campfire, but as long as he's
over there all you have to do is pick him up and you
regain your ability to interact with the area again. If
the enemy God catches on to what you're doing he'll
sometimes cast a Spiritual Shield, which seems to negate
the effect and you lose the ability to interact with the
area. Even the! n all is not lost, all you have to do is
move your hand over him as he runs outside the Shield,
and you can once again begin the task of keeping him in
the area you want to interact with while
performing miracles and impressing the villages, even
though they shouldn't be within your reach. I used this
trick to get all the way to the enemy's Temple, where my
creature was being held hostage and being tortured by
the enemy God's creature, but nothing I did would hurt
it or his temple, so don't waste your time trying.
Fun Day At The Beach:
During the game you can press F2. You'll see two islands
on the screen, the smaller of the two islands will have
two Beach Balls, two bowling balls and a set of bowling
pins. Look to the rear of the smaller island to find the
toys.
Custom villager names:
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use
a text editor to edit the "names.txt" file in the game
folder. You can change the names contained in the file
as desired. However, the number of names in the file
must match the number listed in the first line.
Smiley face footprints:
Set your system date to April 1 and begin a game. Your
character will now leave smiley face footprints in
the ground.
Beach balls, bowling balls and bowling pins:
Go to the God's Playground (press [F2] during a game)
and exit out of the first tutorial by pressing
[Esc]. Then zoom all the way out. Look for the small
island off of the larger one. When you find it, zoom in
on it. Rotate the camera so that you are looking at the
small island and can see the large island in the
distance. At the base of the small island you will see
two beach balls, two bowling balls and some bowling pins
with smiley faces on them.
Dizzy evil conscience:
Start the tutorial and wait for your conscience to stop
talking. Repeatedly move your mouse in circles and your
evil conscience's head will eventually start spinning.
Get any creature from the start:
Go to My computer, then drive C: Then Program files,
Then lionhead studios ltd, Then Black & White, Then
Data, Then Ctr, Then you will see a list of all the
creatures in the game, to get any of these, you must
switch places of one of the 3 started chars,(Ape, Cow,
Tiger) by switching the name of one of them to the one
you want. Then start up Black & White, Then when you
make a new game and get the creature quest finished You
will see the creature you want instead of the cow, or
tiger or ape. Like Switching the BHorse.CBN file to the BCow.CBN
file. That will switch places of both those creatures in
the game. [Make a backup before renaming any files]
Alter time:
Hold [Alt] and press 1 to slow down time or hold [Alt]
