For this quest you need the ability to get a Cephadrome to go and heal(sleep). Weapon suggestions:

Great Sword:Agito or Vile Serpant Blade
Sword and shield:(None)
Dual Swords:(None)
Hammer:Bone Axe
Lance:Knight Lance-Spear or Paladin Lance
Gun:Azure or Emerald Shotgun(Better-Emerald)

Get the Cephadrome down to low health so he goes to heal.Use up to 8 Sonic Bombs for this. Now get to where he is asleep and lay next to each other 2 large barrel bombs.Now lay a small one in between. He will be dizzy and this is your chance to use another large barrel bomb with another small barrel bomb. He will be dead or almost dead. Get the last few hits in and you should have aprx. 2 Sonic Bombs left incase he goes back under the sand because here you can't hit his fin.

Guide Submitt: PLEASE READ WEAPON INFO BELOW!When fighting the Rathalos or Rathian a great place to hit is the head.When he/she is sending a fireball get loads of hit on their head. If you have a great sword or sword and shield you can also aim for their tail as if you do you can cut it off and get an extra carve from it. A great weapon(I killed both on my first try with it) is Bone Broad Axe. The weapon path is very confusing so read it below!
