Alternate ending sequence - Successfully complete the game with all three G Reports to view an alternate ending sequence.

Cacatuar - Before you fight Nero the Sable in the Chapter 10, keep an eye out for some barrels above you as you run on through. There will be four barrels that blow up in a line. One of those barrels contains one of Final Fantasy's best known hidden character "Cactuar". As it falls down to the ground it will start running away and as soon as it gets to the corner it hops on up and disappears.

Chapter 10 Gil Farmer - In chapter 10 - Shinra's Dark Secret, in the map before you go to fight Nero there is an optional Stage Mission where you must defeat 100 enemies. Stock up on all sorts of healing items and ammo, then do this mission. Some of the Deepground Soliders will drop Gil, but the 97th, 98th, and 99th soliders each drop 8,000 gil and the 100th solider drops a Gold Moogle Doll which can be sold for 35,000 Gil. You can do this mission over and over stocking up enourmous amounts of EXP and Gil.

Cloud reference - In the third mission (the one going to Edge City), you will have to save a boy. After you chase him out of the building, the camera will pan away from the building. You will see a small icon of Cloud Strife on a dirty cloth hanging from that building.

Cloud Strife Portrait - In mission where you are in Edge for the first time (while you are rescuing the little boy) you will jump out the window in a cut scene at one point. This is at the part where the boy is showing you where the cardkey is. Look just under the building you jumped out of, and you will see a little black picture of Cloud with his sword over his back. This is easier to see with a gun with a sniper scope.

Extra Hard Mode - Complete Normal or Hard Mode.

Fenrir reference - The Gummi Ship special model Fenrir is a motorbike with Cloud on it. This is the same motorbike he uses in Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Before he leads the raid on the force Deep Ground, he says Lets go..... Fenrir.

Help from bugs in Chapter 6 - After you get to where all the DG soldiers are, you can shoot over where the insects are. Use the Hydra Gun to shoot the one in front. They should get mad and think that the DG soldiers did it. While they are attacking the soldiers you can rest. After they are done you can kill them.

Hidden Items - Below is a list of hidden items found in the game. They can be missed, and because of that you should try and get them on your first time through. They listed in the order which you will find them in the game.

Bayonet Rifle - Chapter 10: Later in the level, you'll come to a puzzle which involves cardkeys, it is next to a gatling gun behind a gate.

Blow Machine Gun - Chapter 10: You'll come to a split in the path, one of which goes under a bridge, the case in the open is it.

Faerie L Barrel - Chapter 10: After Blow Machine Gun you'll soon come to a place with a crate on a ledge, shoot the barrel under it.

G Report 3 - Chapter 11: Located in a room with several Mako Points in it, use the rising platform to jump onto a pipe running along the wall, it's in the corner.

G-Report 1 - Chapter 8: When a WRO is hacking a door, pprotect them untill they are finished. Go under the door, and continue on to find it atop a ladder.

G-Report 2 - Chapter 10: Found on the roof of a house which you drop down on, shortly after the midpoint of the stage

Golden Moogle Doll - Chapter 10: Complete the kill 100 enemies mission, the last enemy will drop it.

Guard M Barrel - Chapter 6: Protect all 12 WRO members the length of the mission, and it'll appear in a crate near the end of the level.

Lucky S Barrel - Chapter 10: In the area of the cardkey puzzle at the end of the long string of gates in the tunnel is the Lucky S Barrel.

Manaheart - Chapter 6 Ex Hard: Early in this stage a red duel horn beast will charge through the stage, kill it before it leaves the stage and it'll drop it.

S Adjuster - Chapter 9: The first string of guards, blow up the barrel on the very right and one of the guards will drop it.

Toy Gun - Chapter 3: After saving the kid, enter the door nearby and is against the inside wall.

Mission Mode - Beat The Game.

One-Shot Kills - In Extra hard mode, after you protect the little boy that leads you to the warehouse, you will kill a guard in the final house the kid goes to. That guard drops a keycard. Pick up the keycard and it will do a cut-scene and put you outside the house.

You have to turn around and go through the door you just exited. You will see a lone item sitting under the staircase. Pick it up. It is called the "Toy Gun". Upgrade for 15,OOO gil to get the "Silver Toy Gun", and again for 35,OOO to get the "Golden Toy Gun". A final upgrade for 2OO,OOO gil will unlock the "Ultima Weapon". It basically kills anything in one hit.

Skip intermission sequences - During an intermission sequence, press Start, X. The sequence should stop and the game resume.

Ultima Weapon - If you find the Toy Gun weapon, keep it. It requires 300,000 Gil to upgrade it. The first upgrade makes it a Silver Toy Gun, and the next upgrade makes it a Gold Toy Gun. The final upgrade costs 200,000 Gil and creates the Ultima Weapon.
